1911 9mm - which one?

Safety, sear, disconnector, springs.

Only parts that drop in and fit it as well, are S.A Milspec GI parts.
good thing something fit in your gun, many parts in mine required my gunsmith to machine (not fit, full on machine) them or the frame/slide to fit

edit: Spartan is very durable and the harder STI internals mean that they keep their fit properly for more rounds

yes I got a STI part gun and its annoying to have to fit everything just for parts to work.

AFAIC…1911's should be in 45ACP Government model. If you want a JMB design 9mm then get a BHP ("T" series)

If you had been following my thread, I was wavering towards a STI Spartan 9mm when a deal on a SAM enhanced came along. Thought for half the price I would give it a try, it wasn't going to be my main gun anyhow(Shoot a CZ Shadow most of the time), but I have a passion for the 1911 platform(Have a Colt 1911 rail gun in .22 that I love). So my reg cert for the SAM showed up in the mail on Friday and it was off to the range I went to give it a test drive today. I started off with some 124 grain hollow point truncated reloads with 4.2gr of Titegroup. I had a bunch of these leftover and was hoping this gun would like them, turns out it didn't. Had some feed problems right out of the gate then switched to 124gr RN with 4.2 Gr Titegroup. Turns out the SAM liked those ones much better. Have 4 Wilson Combat mags with it and one seemed to be a little troublesome even with the RN but I am blaming that on the mag and not the gun. With the RN in the good mags it fed without any troubles, even in a rapid fire situation. I was quite impressed with the finish of the SAM, not a shiny polished blue but a parkerized finish that was in really good shape. From what I hear the Spartan doesn't have a show car finish either. Shooting the gun was very pleasurable as with all 1911's it just feels right in my hand. All controls work well and the trigger wasn't too bad. I am no expert shot but was able to lay down a fairly nice grouping at 10m even rapid firing it freehand. Sight was a bit left, but gave it a bit of an adjustment when I got home and will check it next time. I am very happy with my bargain gun and have a little room for goodies for it. First thing to go will be the Hogue grips, I have fairly small hands and these are a bit too bulky for me.
