1911 9mm

I have a 1911 style pistol in 45 ACP can it be converted over to 9mm ?

Yes, if you change the slide to one with a breech face that is cut for a 9mm barrel hood [it is narrower than the hood on a .45ACP barrel] and of course the slide internals [firing pin, extractor, recoil spring, 9mm barrel with bushing fitted to it, etc]. You will also need a 9mm style ejector on the top of the frame [replaces the .45ACP ejector] and a 9mm magazine. You also will likely need a 9mm slide stop as well, although your existing slide stop might work with the new top-end.
