Hi All,
Does anyone make a CO2 or break action air gun in a 1911 or at least a semi-auto pattern that has a decent single action trigger? I don't care if it is single shot it just needs a good trigger. I have a Umerex Walther Nighthawk which is fun but the trigger truly sucks:( I would like to shoot a pistol with a nice trigger but I don't want one handed target style stocks, I want to shoot 2 handed (weaver stance) for IPSC practice. A 1911 design would be the best but anything that can be shot 2 handed and have a decent trigger would be considered. Thanks,
Kim

Thanks Denis,
I wonder what the triggers are like on the Colt 1911 airguns listed @ D&L. They would be perfect if the triggers are good. The HW45 looks pretty good also. I wonder if anyone out here stocks them so I can give one a feel. The search begins.

i have one of the german made co2 1911 models sold under the colt name .. it's got very similar weight and balance to the real thing .. all the bells and whistles; slide lock, thumb safety, grip safety etc etc .. can't say it's got a nice trigger though, at least it doesn't feel consistantly nice .. sometimes it seems to have more resistance than others

i got it at trembley's in orillia .. can't recall what it cost

hope this helps

Anthony666,
Can it be shot single action from a cocked and locked state? The Umarex website says it can be shot both single and double action. Do you feel a difference in the trigger from single to double if it can in fact be shot both ways? I wonder if you can do a trigger job on them? These sound real interesting.

yes .. it will shot both ways and the trigger feels way tighter in single action mode .. it came with a little allen wrench, i'm not 100% if it's meant to adjust the trigger or not .. there's nothing glaringly obvious with a hex to put the wrench in .. it may have also come with an owner's manual but i can't find it, sorry

i bought it to teach my kid gun safety and it's sat in my gun safe for a couple of years gathering dust, he's into xbox

Hi Anthony666,
So you're saying that the trigger pull feels heavier in single action mode or do you mean less travel as it is not going through the double action movement? Is the trigger pull shorter in single action like a DA revolver would be or do you still have to go through the full DA length to fire it? I really just want to do draw and fire practice but actually shoot something rather than the dry firing I do now but I don't want to be fighting a wrong feeling/heavy long travel trigger. Maybe I want too much but for $300 you'd think they could do a decent trigger in SA mode.

Trigger would have to be much lighter in single action, I've had the cpsport (before I broke the trigger linkage from a pellet jamming in the clip) and the inaccuracy comes from pulling back that monstrous hammer spring.

Try the umarex beretta px4, the trigger isn't fantastic, but it is much lighter than double action because it uses blowback to recock the gun. It's also pretty accurate, as far as semi auto guns go. Wish I didn't take mine apart.

This site has a list of almost all co2 pistols that exist, with information about accuracy and trigger pull.
