Hello all,

I understand the design of the 1911 and 2011 and can completely strip and reasemble the pistols but I was wondering how hard it would be to learn to do work on 1911 and 2011 pistols. Are there any books or videos that show how to ...

Fit a thumb safety
Fit a beavertail
Do Trigger work
Fitting a slide to a frame and a barrel to a slide.
How to build a gun from parts etc...

Or are there any gunsmiths that teach this kind of stuff

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks the Cylinder and Slide course looks detailed.
Best of all you build a gun to take home cant beat learning to build a gun and adding one to the collection at the same time.

No one seems willing to pay for a lifetime (or two) of experience....
