Just found this about 10minuts ago and it has helped me IMMENSELY in understanding the workings and parts of the 1911 pistol, and has also encouraged me to purchase one as my first pistol once the R is placed before my PAL (Hopefully soon, just sent the paper work off to Miramichi on Tuesday @.@) and I hope this vid also helps others understanding the 1911.

P.S. I do apologize if this is a re-post, I just felt it had to be shared with the everyone ^.^b

Somebody put an awful lot of work into THAT 1911 animated assembly video.

Great find and thanks for posting it!! It'll come in very handy when I buy a 1911A1!

Actualy the M1911 wasn't designed to stop the Moro tribesmen. They had to re-issue the Colt .45 calibre SAA to replace the anemic .38S&W round.

Of course the best stopper in that affair was a M97 12 gage riot gun.

Always wondered why the British dumped the .455 for a revolver firing the same pitiful cartridge. It may have been "easier to shoot" but that's NOT the reason you shoot someone.

Meh, didn't post it for it's historical accuracy, but for the animated assembly and functioning of the pistol ^.^

Guess not that many peoples find it as awesome as I do :(
