Hello,
I am hoping somone knows where to purchase a barrel bushing compensator for a 1911a1?
Try as i might, i cant seem to find any without paying import fees. Not that i know of many places to look.
My interest is purely cosmetic.
I would also appreciate any feedback, good or bad, from
anyone who has used one.
My apologies if this topic has been beaten to death :kickInTheNuts:
Thanks

I highly doubt it if you are going to find this in Canada. If I was going to buy one it would be the Wilson Combat one from Brownell's. There's a couple of ugly ones on eBay and they ship to Canada.

To my knowledge, no one in Canada sells them. Not enough of a market I guess.
You can find them an Ebay but you might have trouble getting one shipped
to Canada as most American Companies on Ebay just won't do it.
You could try the EE here as sometimes one will come up for sale.

I would try calling both Dlask and Armco. If anyone in Canada would have one in stock, I'd guess one of those two would. Otherwise, see if you can find something you like at Brownells and then see if it can be shipped to Canada.

Actually this guys ads says he will ship internationally. Which is odd. But you are right most will not ship to Canada. Still ugly comps though.

To my knowledge, it is not illegal for them to be shipped out of the U.S. but most just can't be bothered
with the extra paperwork.
By the time you take the cost of the item, add the postage and then convert it to Canadian funds, they are not that cheap.

Most won't ship anywhere due to the cost of the U.S. Commerce Dept. exporter's licence. $1800 US last I saw. Not worth paying that for a small market.
E-BAY FUNDS THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO TAKE YOUR FIREARMS AWAY FROM YOU? BUYING OR SELLING THERE GIVE WENDY THE MONEY SHE WASTES.

Xtremegunshootingcentre in Winnipeg used to sell these kind of comps for .45 - store.xtremegunshootingcenter.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65_69
