Whats the concensus? Yes or no? Other than match grade rifling does the bull barrel just give extra weight out front? I was thinking about buying one, whats a good brand to go with? Or should I just stick with a regular match barrel? :D

I'm not a fan of them. They do remove the tolerances between the barrel and bushing (now you only have barrel / slide fit)

However that being said I would stick with standard barrel / bushing - Kart (gunsmith fit barrel) or Bar-Sto would be my pick for good barrels.

If you want weight out front, have you tried a tungsten guide rod? (this is a game gun, right? - you're not betting body parts on it)

tungsten rod

I got 2 different styles of these rods from brownells. The conolly with the double frame saver bushing does not work as well as the standard tungsten from EGW.
If you do go with a bull barrel look for the one piece. The screw together ones do not like soaking in cleaner.
You can also get tungsten barrel bushings.

As Dirt Rider said, it's a non-reversible mode, as you have to modify the slide. If you don't like it, there's no going back. Also, the accuracy improvement from a bull barrel is pretty minor in a pistol (unlike rifle bull barrels).
