I have two questions, first does anyone know of a site sponsor that sells quality 1911 22LR conversions? Marvel, advantage seems, Nelson etc...

Second of all, if you own a 1911 in 9mm or 38 super, could you install a 45 top (barrel and slide) on it and theoretically a 22 conversion as well? Why am I asking, well I have a 1911 in 45 but it’s built on a Norc frame which I can bring to the USA for matches. So rather than buy a frame only I’d rather buy a Kimber or Tanfoglio in 9mm/38super and just install the 45 on it.

If you’re that serious about competing south of the border, buy another non-Norky 1911.

I’m not a fan of conversion kits. If you want a .22lr 1911, then buy a complete.22lr 1911.
But I have to ask, what do you need a 1911 in .22 for? It’s basically useless as a practice pistol, IMHO.

I filed down, laterally, a 9mm ejector so that it worked in .45 too.

Some makers will cut a 9mm feed ramp differently. My NP29 (9mm) feeds fine in .45, thankfully, since the original top is a mess.

Should be enough Kimber owners around to inform you about feed ramps.

22 conversions are popular with bullseye shooters to shoot the first portion of the 2700. Besides the Norinco frame everything else has been changed/upgraded.
