Where do you guys buy a 1911 flat trigger in Canada? Dont want to buy from Brownells. Would rather support a CDN dealer. I know FreedomVentures has plastic gunsmith blanks but Im looking for a steel flat trigger. Thanks for your help

A steel flat trigger may be hard to find. Aluminum is a more common material. The trigger may require fitting - I'd avoid steel.

The Caspian Trik trigger is an excellent choice.

Double Tap or CSTS may be able to help you.

I getmine from the crafm.
You purchase an SVI triglide trigger bow, then purchase the trigger shoe insert of your style and colour.
There are many styles to chose from. I have tried many, and love the flat short.
If ever you have big hands you might prefer flat medium.

What did you refinish the slide with?

Rodger, RK custom guns.
Did a reblue, properly refit the barrel to 50 thou lockup, trigger job, deluxe re-blue, awesome price.
I do not want to divert too much from original posters question though.
Even if it looks pretty in picture, i cant get pictures to justify the true mirror finish its got, its almost heartbreaking to handle rough now!

OP, what brand of 1911 you got? I can confirm, that the SV trigger bow, fits very good no gunsmith required., in an STI anyways. Only 1000 grit sand paper, and 20 minutes of patience of taking only a little off at a time and test fit.

I'm not really a 1911 guy but I would love to own that, very nice.

Rodger really good at what he is doing. Definitely give him a call tomorrow.

@ MartyK2500, I have an STI Lawman 5.0 9mm , looking for a flat trigger.

Like others have posted, there are a few brands out there.
I have not tried the others so i cannot comment on them, but my SVI trigger was easy to fit in an STI, and i love the fact that the trigger shoe is interchangable.
I have tried a few profiles to determine what i really like (flat medium, flat short, flat with enos curve, round short...) the only thing is that to try, you must either have a friend with spare trigger shoes, tried it on another gun, or purchase a few of them (30$/ea if i recall?)
If you want to give flat medium a try (for bigger hands i presume as flat short is the way to go for me), i have a spare one and could arrange a great deal on it.
