Hi there just wondering about the dlask pro $1650 is it worth it.
I am new to handguns waiting for my paperwork to come back 32 days so far.
thanks.

btw what the hell is with this thing>:dancingbanana:

X2 on better ways to drop 1650. Go kimber or Springfield.

I've heard nothing but good things about Dlask's 1911's. I had a chance to handle one in Lever Arms about a year ago after looking at them on his webpage only. The pictures on the web didn't do this gun justice, it was really well put together and just a beautiful gun. Personally I would go with the Dlask over any of the others in the same price range. By the way I bought a Dlask custom Delta Elite a couple years ago and it's currently back in his shop getting overhauled, not because I had any problems with it (it was a great shooter the way it was) just because there's more I want done with the gun. Once I get it back I'll let you know how it went.

Well with the Dlask you are getting a custom gun. Forget Kimber and with Sprignfield you can certainly get an equivalent model. For that kine of money you can also get a decked out Para LTd so you do have choices.

If I had the money like that to blow on a single 1911, Dlask would be my first choice. For me $1650 = a lot of different guns, so my Armco Norinco Commander will suffice for my 1911 fix.

Ive never shot a Dlask 1911,but I have handled one at a IPSC shoot. They are really well made and beautifully finished.Custom 1911's dont come cheap, and when you compare a Dlask to say a Wilson or Baer(which both will set you back a lot more than the Dlask)they are not bad value.

You also cant really compare a Dlask to a Kimber or a Springfield, just not in the same league, and remember once youve done all the custom touches to those two(which the Dlask already has),and waited 6 months for the smith to do the job,you will probably end up spending the same. And if theres any problem with a Dlask gun, theres a lot less hassle than getting your Wilson sorted out.

Rob has a secret underground source for water that colours his opinion on certain guns. If you think I am kidding consider he shoots a Beretta of all things.:D

hey I like the Edge, sort of, and I own a Glock now too!
but seriously if I was going to buy a 1911 type gun, it wouldn't be a single stack, of any make.

1911 Dlask Custom

I have a Dlask 1911 Custom Stainless, I purchased it used here of the forum, what a machine, I also have a Para SSP. The Para is a nice gun but its no Dlask. The slide to frame fit is the tighest I have ever seen, there no play, my Para has minamum play, but the Dlask, none. All the parts are top notch. After owning this I would never go back, Hey I got a Para SSP for sale if interested, let me know.

But you wount regreat a Dlask.

Oh I had a Beretta, Plastic trigger, double action , first double action pull goes to the sky, till singe kickes in. What a over hipped, overpriced, ####ty made piece of Crapp!!!!!!!
