Whatever your opinion of other products, or other issues individuals may have with Dlask, he does really great work on 1911's.If he wasn't in Canada he'd be all over the gun magazines- and I have seen him metioned once or twice despite the fact he's in Canada. If you can afford to get a pistol custom made for you - do it. The 1911 is the last truly personal firearm that a 'normal' guy can afford. You can specify what you want and how you want it, here in BC we are lucky, we have some truly world class gunsmiths. When it comes to 1911's Jo Dlask is one of those.
