1911 Government Grips

Ok so there are lots of places to but them, ebay, people on the forums, websites, etc.

Plastic, Wood, Aluminum, Bone, etc.

What type of grips do you think would look good on a plain Norinco 1911 Governemnt?

The cheap plastic ones on there now are terrible!

I replaced them with some checkered walnut ones and it looks much better. They are also a little slimmer than the black plastic ones so it fits me better now too.

Hard to go wrong with a nice checkered wood set, double diamonds are a nice touch too

I also got the aliens. Checkering pattern & agressivity: hand grater grips. If the pistol ever slips out of your hands, it is because someone is taking the firearm away from you.

I agree the brown plastic grips that come stock on the older Norc 1911A1's don't look all that great.

I like the looks of double diamond hardwood grips on my Norc 1911A1's.

Well I took everyone's advice and just purchased a set of Rosewood checkered grips with the dual diamonds. They should hopefully be here after the weekend and once installed I'll post up a picture.

Last I heard.. VZ Operators II grips were 97 CAD total shipped to Canada... A friend just ordered them 3 weeks ago..
