I just received my like new norinco 1911a1-c, love the look of her but while detail stripping and stuff, I was wondering is it normal for the grip safety to be loose (wobbly) in the frame?

ok, than its the spring in the gun, you will have to take it out , it has 3 arms on it, bend the one on the right toward you, and that will bring the tension back, i have done that to mine a couple of times, than got a north american made grip spring one. i have a norc1911 also

Ok I'll try that. I'm waiting on a full service pak from Wolfsprings and I think there is a sear spring included, thanks.

yes that arm on the right you bend toward you fits in the the top of the grip safty, its what gives you the tension on the grip saftey. it does lose tension over time, i have a nice copper colour one in it now.
