Hey all,
I recently picked up a used Norinco NP29 (1911 in 9mm). Nice 2 tone pistol, seems well put together, especially for the price I paid. 2 issues:
1 - a grip screw bushing has fallen out, I bought it this way. Anyone know where I can find a replacement and maybe a spare or 2? Haven't had much luck searching through Canadian retailers.
2 - I'll need a replacement screw. Maybe a few, just for spares.
3 - The right side of the ambi safety is loose. The tongue of the right side does not seat firmly in the groove of the left side. I've read that you can just squeeze the groove together to increase the tension, but it will eventually work itself loose again. What is a decent replacement for the ambi safety?
I'm not particular about brands as this is a sub-$300 pistol. I just want something that is sturdy and reliable, and of course it must be compatible with a Norinco (to this point, I have no idea if Norinco suffers from parts compatibility issues for their 1911's. I know their AR does).
Preferably, I'd like to buy the parts from the same retailer to save on shipping. Thoughts?
