I need to know if there is any canadian dealers for 1911 grips. I'm looking to replace the ones on my new norcy with either rosewood or walnut grips. I prefer to buy from canadian sites but if I have to use an american site what are some good ones?

Post a WTB ad in the Equipment Exchange on here. There's bound to be someone who has some extras to sell. Grips for the 1911 come up here on the EE for sale all the time... :)

wobbles, i know they are for screws, but the dealers that they link to dixon/marstar/freedomV.. will probalby have what you want.. its jsut not listed... give them a call... cuz the grips you want seem simple enough...

Why not pick up a custom handmade pair from a fellow CGN'r.

"Laredo" makes them himself in Oak, Walnut and a variety of other woods.

PM him - I just did yesterday and he makes them to order in a wood you choose, either finished or unfinished.

And trust me.... you can't beat the price!!!:)

I have some walnut grips on the way from Laredo. I'm going to finish them with rootbeer candy and clear urethane. I'll post pics when it'd done.

Actually, Wobbly, I have had great dealings with the the people on the Equipment Exchange :) Have you tried to resolve these problems? If someone on there is ripping off people, let's hear about it.

Lots of dealers have 1911 grips. I usually have Mahogany and Walnut grips for my Norincos. Not cheap, though - $40 and up...

I did try to resolve one issue and the person ignored me. I was just short of sending the person the money over an emt and wanted some more information and he did not respond. I went to the mods but there was nothing they could do. I had some issues with some smaller stuff that I just let slide. I just prefer not to deal with anything that doesn't insure that I get what I paid for. It's just me I'm not knocking the exchange or anyone who deals on it.
