1911 grips

Back in February I was looking for a pair of grips for a 1911 and someone sent me some pics of their work. If you know who it is that makes them, could you give me the heads up.

Also, if you know of a place that sells nice grips or something unusual, it would be great if you could share the wealth.

It depends on what your looking for. I got a set of nice rubber grips off ebay for $5. Or try w w w .hogueauction.com/ They have some factory seconds and stock over runs in there.

I know what I am looking for doesn't exist, but I am looking for a set with a celtic knot design. I might just have to buy a plain pair with nice wood and make them myself.

Any good custom grips for a double stack Para P14?
I love the Pachmayr American Legend Series but they don't make them for double stacks.

I have a set of Alumagrips, which are great; I also have a set of custom grips in African Blackwood made by a Canadian firm called Dixon Grips. I don't think I'm allowed to post a link but you should be able to find them on Google.

I would prefer wood, but since the good ship lollypop is in from China I plan on adding a few things to my collection and so I would consider anything. But there is nothing like the look and feel of wood with a good grain to it.
