1911 gunsmith recommendation

Any recommendations for gunsmith to do some simple stuff on my Norinco1911?

I would like a better trigger, beavertail grip safety, and better fixed sights. I would like quick turn around,6 months or less (I am pretty old, so I'd like to get to shoot it, already gave my custom 45 to one of my sons:d), I'll source the parts. I have arthritis so don't tell me to do it myself.

Thanks for any ideas, really appreciated. (I'm on the west coast if that matters.)
 
Rodger Kotanko used to do that work.

Labour charge would be under $100 and he would do it on a Sunday afternoon so I could go home with the gun the same day. If I mailed it to him, turn around was under 2 weeks.

But the police shot him.

Damn! Sorry to hear that.Maybe I'll just shoot it like it is still a century ago.My first inclination anyway.

Buy Kuhnhausen's books, and do it yourself. That's the simplest answer. - dan

Any luck finding and option for this work yet? It seems like there should be someone willing to do this in a reasonable time frame. And of course you don't have to do it yourself - Many of us wind up learning how to DIY because of budget or because we don't want to wait months.

Dlask Arms
 
Dlask will likely not take those jobs any longer, according to Leigh. They are focused on higher margin, cnc production work. There are a few others around. Italian has a couple in house.

What takes that long to do??
Ive helped Blacksmiths shoe a horse in less than a hr.
And for a million dollar race horse that’s custom work.
So explain the 18 months?
Rodger did my 1911 took a week only because we meet once a week.

No, Joe Dlask will not take that kind of job any more. Well, this is what I have been told on the phone by someone working at Dlask Arms some three years ago - at least three years ago.
