1911 Hex grip screws and bushings

... I would think just about any of the major, aftermarket suppliers south of the border would have them. I've got them on my Series 70, and like the appearance and the fact that it's easier to change the grips without damaging a screw slot . ... David K.

Anyone in Canada?

Is it hard to get small parts like grip screws and bushings across the border via mail. If not is there anyone in Kanada?

You don't necessarily need new bushings just to put in hex grip screws. In fact if you remove the grip bushings you may be getting yourself into a mess of extra work. The grip screw bushings are usually staked in place, when you remove them, sometimes some of the staking acts as a tap and as you remove the bushing it cuts bigger threads or damages those that are or were there. Now you may need one bushing or a set oversize bushings ( $8 us)and tap (40 us)to put it all back the way it was. Try ARMCO at the top of the page for grip screws or fixing and oversize bushing if needed.

Thanks for all the advise fellows...

Found some on epay. I asked very nicely if a US seller would ship them to me and he said sure.

Cheers

i generally have no problems ordering parts for my 1911's from the u.s. through ebay or dealers who ship to canada. just be sure to keep your purchases under 100.00 U.S. or import export requirements apply. bushings and screws should be no problem.
But..... you should easily be able to find these in canada.
