1911 Jamming with Remington Magazines

Hi,

I have a Ruger SR1911 and I bought two additional 7 round stainless Remington magazines for it. The first 6 shots out of those magazines are fine, but the last round always jams. The 2 Ruger magazines that came with the 1911 never jam. They have this little dimple that prevents the the round from feeding incorrectly. The Remington magazines are smooth and it seems like the last round doesn't feed properly and it jams between the slider and the chamber.

Anyone else have this issue? What magazines should I get to replace these defective ones? I would love to get 2 more of the Ruger 8 round ones. Where can I find those for sale in Canada?

Try some of the Elander 8 round mags from Wolverine for $20 each.... Well made and work good for me.
I can't imagine Ruger or Remington make their own mags, likely just rebranded and overpriced metalform/checkmate/shooting star etc...
Brownells has good deals on mags as well

My Rem mags suck. I had the same issue. Bought a Chip Mccormick and haven't had any problems.

i use Remington 8 round mags in mine, haven't had any issues

Number one rule with 1911's use good mags.

I love the 1911 platform, but will admit that is it's weakness.
