Does anyone know where i can extra long grip screws for a 1911? im putting spacers in between the grips and the frame for larger hands and need screws that are about 2-3mm longer then the factory ones.

Best bet will be Brownells.

Brownell's should be all the same length (0.250), or shorter. I have not see long screws for thick grips, only short screws and 'short bushings' for thin grips.

Your best bet is to countersink the grips a little bit more for a standard length screw.... can you increase the countersink depth of the the grips by the same thickness as the spacer you added, or at least enough to get a couple of threads going on the standard screws?.

BTW you won't find them at a hardware store - the threads are a bastard size
