1911 Magazine Cracks

Definitely something to check for when buying used 1911 mags. Again well worth it to spend extra and get quality mags from a known and reputable source.

Suggest Wilson Combat ETM’s or Chip McCormick for quality 1911 magazines. I personally had zero issues with the Wilson’s in my 1911 and McCormick by reputation.

I use Wilson Combat mags since they exist. Never had a single issue.

I have two Nork mags, and two Remington mags (made by Mec Gar I think). The nork mags are sharp and ugly, the Remington ones are nickle plated and are smooth and slick, but both work, and neither crack.

It's true. The 1911 really is all about the magazine, it's weak link if you will. A good mag and she'll run, a poor one, nothing but problems.
