1911 magazines

I just bought a 1911 and I need some extra mags for it. Marstar sells Mec Gar mags; I have used the CZ and Beretta Mec Gar mags and found their quality pretty good; what is the quality like on their 1911 magazines? Are there any other magainzes that you would recommoend?

on cheap side but with a reliable good quality is the Dlask 8 rnds nickel

Norc mags are cheap and feed well but they are not so durable. The spots welds holding the floor plate on tend to break when the mag is dropped on hard ground.

The ones that Dlask Arms sells are great quality. Just got a few of them.

I have used a number of Norc mags. The feed ball quite well, but I have found that their feed angle is just off enough to really mess up hollow point feeding. Cheap mags though.

I just ordered some chip McCormick magazines from Arms East, they are great magazines.

I've had good luck with MecGar 1911 magazines in my Dan Wesson PM7 and I've also used MecGar 1911 mags for a Norc 1911 and Para SSP (no longer own these two pistols) with no issues as well. The Chip McCormick magazines I tried would not lock the slide after the last round in the SSP and Norc. I was shocked because of the accolades they've received. Wilson Combat magazines have worked well in any of the 1911's that have passed through my hands...YMMV.

If you want 100% reliability and quality appearance/materials, fir and finish but careless about name stamped on the mag - those ACT-MAG that DLask and Freedom sell and the ones to get. They are made in Italy, got 5 of them - they look quality and work.
