Tripp Cobra are better made (and cheaper) than Wilson ETM imho (I have both). Both have worked 100% for me, but in all honesty, I see no reason to go for the Wilson in MY case.
YMMV
9 rounds or 10?
Tripp research makes 10 round mags.
Everyone else seems to make 9 rounders.
Wilson also makes 10 rounders.
TC mags have generated too many failures on Todd's gun and he has stopped using them so the test results are not skewed by mag-induced failures.
The reason I ask is that you have a gun with a much lower round count, with way more stoppages - you have no idea how many.
The possibilities are:
1) STI somehow managed to build a gun that is more reliable than anything Jason Burton can build
2) You do not log your rounds, and consequently have an unknown number of stoppages, all but one of which you attribute to your own personal mistakes, out of an unknown total, and STI does NOT build the most reliable 9mm 1911 that has ever existed.
