S&W E Series

These are the choices, I've eyeballed the 'genre' for a year and these are the 3 that have caught my eye. The Kimber and E Series are both the same price on the EE right now. I'm aware the Kimber at that price is a far better deal.. The Performance Center is a fair bit more expensive.. but because it comes with some extras that make up a couple hundred dollars of it.

Not just based on looks alone because I believe all 3 are equally impressive.. but has anyone had first hand experience?

My current gemstone is my Sig M11-A1 and I almost have to consider selling to justify buying a pricey 1911. I love my sig. Is it worth the move? I know the .45 is far more expensive to shoot in abundance.. but I haven't seen a better looking gun. Is it worth the feel of a round firm bum nestled in the palm of your hand?

I would have commented, but I know nothing about handguns, lol, just learning about them myself. I will say you have great taste in 1911's,lol, I would own any of those in a heartbeat! Doesn't surprise me that you have good taste though, after all, you do live in Chilliwack

Fail to see why kimber is on that list!
Handle and shoot them before you buy. You'll quickly see why sw will be the only good choice.

It's not my money anyhow! (None of those choices were on my list to begin with)

The performance centre is beautiful, that being said, I have a Kimber Eclipse Target and I love it as well. Shoots beautifully, feels good, never jams, smooth action and a great factory trigger.

SIG Sauer TTT, or STX if you like more bling.
They are all metal and shoot out of the box. At least my TTT does.
For what you pay you will get more gun.

I own a SW1911 Pro Series, I only have great comments about it. I have never owned a Kimber so I cannot compare.
I did change the grips, the pro comes with bulky grips (for my hands).

When it comes to a 1911 you just have to try them, seriously. I will probably get a few comments after saying this, but, almost all 1911's are just as good as another in their price range (almost). I have shot STI, Kimber, S&W, Norinco and others. You get what you pay for, for the most part, and I didn't find (in a price range) any one to be better than the other for fit, finish, quality, construction, feeding or firing (assuming good magazines and decent ammo).
