1911 Newbie

I don't have it yet still waiting on the transfer. It's taking for ever. I haven't thought about lube yet..where would one get frog lube? And I'm probly going to get a .45 next.

I picked mine up from SAIL...
what finish did you get?
check out vids on 1911 care and tips take what fits you and enjoy it..everyone is an expert ( so they claim ) so learn what you can and use what works for you

the lube I came across is Rust Check in the red spray can....may be weird to some well is to me ..lol..but I sprayed my sks and t33 and my chrome 45 and wow the bolt on my sks feels better when I rack it.
even says on back of can for guns...
will report after I get out to range with 45.
as much as I love shooting 45acp price tag really sucks again look into the gsg , you will get to shoot more with same frame and doesn't hurt the wallet as much.

I've been watching you tube trying to learn as much as I can. My dad uses that rust check stuff at his home I'll have to check that out. And I got the blued GI version. Thanks
