1911 options for 9mm and .22

Now that I'm hooked on the 1911 platform and have 2 of them in .45 acp, I want to complete my small 1911 collection with one in .22 and one in 9mm. I know for a .22 there is the GSG, Sig, and Colt, anything else I'm not aware of that should be considered? And looking into the 9mm last night, I found the SAM in 9mm, as well as Taurus, anything else I should look into for that caliber?

Definately consider the Ruger 22/45..I just had a chance to try out my new stainless 5.5in barrel slabside and after an initial cleaning and lube it ran 200 through without the slightest hiccup and was crazy accurate as well....
 
The SAM 1911s are available in 9mm stainless in both Government & Commander styles. Great value for the money. Wolverine shows them both in stock under $600 ea.
 
the Ruger 22/45 is not a 1911 platform, and I already have the Ruger MkIII for my "good" .22

That Smith .22 1911 is a beat, but wow, never gonna get that much out of me for a .22, thanks for posting it though, it may help others with the same request.

Looks like when the funds are back up to snuff, I may get the SAM 9mm and keep looking for an affordable .22 in stainless.

GSG 1911 in 22cal I own and two weeks ago finally got to range and put full box of 500 rounds through it and no issues...
I too in market for 9mm in 1911 so I'll be following this to see more responses.

I have an STI Ranger 2 in 9mm and a Browning 1911 A-1 in .22. Love em both, each with no issues with about 3k round through them.
 
The GSG I had was great in .22, for a 9mm 1911 the NP-29 is decent but I like to spend a little more cash and get something a little better. I've been wanting the STI Rangemaster for awhile, I have a thing for square trigger guards. I think it's a solid looking pistol.
 
Those STI's are saaawwweeeetttt looking pistols, but the price is insane for what I want the gun for. Its not going to be a comp gun as I only shoot to have fun, so being on a budget for these 2 required 1911's puts the STI way out of my range. Maybe one day, but not any time soon, which sucks because there are nice looking and probably very high quality guns.
