I have taken everything out of my 1911s except for two parts - the ejector and the spring housing with the dual plungers for the slide stop and thumb safety. The 1911s in question are all new Norinco 1911 Commanders. Any help would be great.

The ejector is secured with a small diameter crosspin. The plunger tube is rivetted in place, two studs. Look inside, you should see the heads. Not normally removed. It would have to be re-rivetted to reinstall it, might be necessary to replace it. You will need a purpose built tool to install.

I like problems like these. At least I know that there is a definite answer to this situation.
Ejector: Take a 1/16" punch and drive (gently) the 5/8" long pin. I like going from left (portside) to right (starboard) as YOU point the pistol downrange. Re-assemble in the reverse order (right to left). Now the ejector lifts straigh up and out. Might have to masking tape the ejector and use pliers. My NP29 ejector just jumps right out at you. Quite loose once you knock out the retaining pin.
The plungers: Use the same 1/16" punch and gently push the dual plungers and their spring to the rear, where the safety used to meet the plunger. That's it. Ensure nothing falls off the bench and rolls on the floor. Wear glasses just to be safe.

I found that you can use a fine feeler gage to get under the ejecter and help get a bit of lift to get things moving .
