Order off the internet more reasonable prices and they have it in stock A lot of people here make great lists and don't have the inventory

Agreed, but I’m hoping for a shorter delivery time...pistol sits till I replace a part or two.

I'm thinking of replacing my Barrel Link, and Slide Release. I'm not sure if it's causing my problem, but the parts are relatively cheap, and I plan to upgrade some of the parts over time anyway.

any dealers stocking slides for 1911 these days?
been wanting a commander slide for months and coming up empty.
The "custom pistol" shops don't even reply to emails so I guess they are making enough money without bringing in stuff

I see some really nice prices on slides at brownells
anyone know what's involved in bringing in a slide? or is it just like any other part under 500?

I believe some paperwork is required to import a slide but Brownells always makes things mad simple for the customer. Only downside is the processing/shipping time. Can't beat their selection though.
