Hey everyone....I just got a Norc 1911 a few days ago and when I took it apart to clean it before firing it everything was fine.....although it took me a while to get the disassembly/assembly down......quite different then other pistols......anyways after I put 50 rnds through it and disassembled it.... the barrel will not fit through the slide to seperate them......it should just slide out easily but it gets stuck ....anyone have this problem with thier 1911's??...any help would be awesome.....thanks...Wes

Does yours have the GI guide rod or "full length" guide rod? I am thinking that this might be the problem, depending on the Norc. If so, I had the same issue the first time I took apart my second-hand Norc A-1 Commander, but I realized what the difference was. Didn't make it any easier to figure out . . .
yes it does have the full length guide rod....the rod comes out fine but when its just the bbl and slide left to take apart the bbl wont fit through the slide to take them apart......It should just slide out easily....right???

And bringing the barrel out through the front (where the bushing was) - not trying to just pull it up (like a glock or CZ)
He mentioned he took it apart once already, it still might be the bushing or the way he tries to remove the barrel as you mentioned. I thought being Chinese, it might have a goofy barrel link that might be in the way. It came apart once, so it has to be something very simple that has slipped his mind.

It probably is something really simple that has been overlooked or forgotten about...I'm just glad I'm not the only one to have had such a brain fart when disassembling/assembling a 1911!
