Im new to firearms but i have been looking at customization options for 1911s. I cant seem to find many options for my specific make n model (norinco np29 9m). There seems to mostly be a difference between compact modles and some other kinds. Iv heard in some reviews that my make is a colt clone... Does this mean i can just search for colt 1911 accessories and they should all fit my make and model?
I want to find a fingergroove grip and a 10 round mag for my norinco 1911 np29 9m... I found like one website with the grips but they seem to all b wood grain and expensive. I just want a black fingergroove grip to look like its part of the handle. And only heard one guy refer to a 10 round wilson combat mag (i think was the name). Any suggestions or advice?
I live in the niagara regin and wud rather not wait like 2 months for delivery online...

Pachmayr makes a rubber finger grooved grip that is black. Wilson Combat and Tripp are some mags that work very well for 1911s.
The Norinco is defintely a clone but it doesn't mean that all parts will just drop in and fit perfectly. Manufacturing tolerances for Norcs are a little looser than North American standards so what may fit one Norinco perfectly may not fit another of the same model. Of course, the same can be said of higher quality 1911s. If you are looking at extended safeties, beavertail grip safeties, sights, triggers etc, you may need a bit of gunsmithing skills to make things work.

Thanx for the help. I know the inner parts of the gun would vary. Would most or all colt grips fit my norc? I tried searching for my model and i didnt find many options. The the purposes of finger groove grips, would a colt grip fit well?
And thanx jack i found exactly what i was looking for at a decent price... Just gotta figure out how to tell if it fits my model

1911 grips should fit your Norc. They did on mine. Check ebay and amazon. Search "colt 1911 grips"

Colt 1911 magazines work fine in my .45 norc.

You were inquiring about black finger grooved grips which I take to be rubber ones. Hogue and Pachmayr make them. Due to them being rubber, there is a bit of give at the best of times even with real Colts. I don't have experience with your exact Norc model but I'm guessing the fore/aft dimension of the grip should be pretty close to spec. The one possible variation would be the length. You may have to trim some rubber to make it fit flush.

I have wrap around Hogue grips on my NP29 9mm and they fit great. From what I have read almost ever part fits fine. Make sure you keep your original screws that hold the grips on because the 1911 screws are different. You would have to replace the posts.
