Fixed. 09outlander called it. The interference was the the new hammer, with the assistance of the supplied info (thanks again Greenhorse six) I was able to remove the material from the safety in order to get proper engagement when locked to safe with the hammer cocked.
I now have a better understanding of how these parts interrelate and am quite proud of myself truth be told.

Yup..... Give yourself a pat on be back! A very rewarding experience I must say so my self.

Took me, some 10 re-assy to sort out the Apex upgrade on my M&P Pro. 15+ to install a combat hammer on my HP.

But.... I did it myself and am now wiser from that experience.
