Asking dealers around for full size 1911, stainless, 9 mm. Looks like that the only player in our area is Springfield (http://www.springfield-armory.com/prod-pstl-1911-fs.shtml , http://www.springfield-armory.com/images/pistols/PX9130LLarge.jpg with Novak sights or something similar to this one http://www.springfield-armory.com/images/pistols/PI9134LLarge.jpg with adjustable ones. The big advantage of 9 mm Springfield is ramped barrel, so conversion to 9x23 will be a snap. However, any lead I had came with $1200 price plus taxes.

Looks like that average price for such pistol in NRA land is $650-700. Considering that our dollar is $0.85-0.86 US, seems to me that local dealers are asking considerably higher than I expected
Anybody has a better deal than $1200? Any other 9 mm 1911 in Canada, in stainless, with a reasonable price? Thanks, Onty.
