And I really like this gun. The fit and finish are really nice. It shoots great. The only issue it currently has is dented brass.

In any case, I don’t plan on breaking it. Usually when I do this kind of thing it’s with lots of research, planning, back up planning, more research, proper tool selection and purchase, some more planning and research followed by execution. Did I mention planning?

My Colt Government ate the odd case until I increased the extractor tension. Now it will still ding the case mouths, but not to the point that the dies won't iron them out, so it's a non-issue for me.

I've never heard of a reduced radius firing pin stop, unless that's the same as what always seems to come up in 10mm 1911 discussions?

Radiused and flat bottom firing pin stops help reduce felt and actual recoil forces. They delay the slides rearward movement slightly by creating more resistance on the slide as it attempts to #### the hammer with the bottom edge of the firing pin stop. A flat bottom or small radius FPS can make a noticeable difference in how much effort is required to manually rack the slide.
