Hi all! I'm looking to buy a good quality holster for my TRP operator. Does anyone out there have any recommendations?

Solely Canadian just built a Kydex concealment holster for my 1911 government (not nearly as nice as your TRP). Service was excellent and the product seems to be very good.

I use a bladetech for my trp operator from AL Flaherty's. I also have a solely Canadian but the retention is non adjustable. Get the bladetech, it's a better holster.

I have a couple of BladeTechs for other handguns (not 1911s), which I use regularly. I wouldn't say they are better, just different. The retention in the Solely Canadian is rock solid.

That's the problem. For action sport, you don't want too much retention and there is zero adjustment. I shot pistol class, 3gun and ipsc and the bladetech is a better solution.

I'm a Blade-Tech fan as well. You really can't go wrong with them. They make a good selection of holsters for almost every imaginable pistol and at reasonable prices. I know the tactical pancake holsters like the ones made by Raven Concealmant and Solely Canadain are all the rage these days, but the Blade-Techs offer a bit more versatility and adjustability.

I usually order direct from bladetech if I can't find what I need locally. They ship to Canada and are very easy to dal with.

I am also heavily involved in action shooting (IDPA and 3Gun). I've used the BladeTech for years now, and I am very familiar with it. I still like them and will use them, but the Solely Canadian isn't nearly as bad on the draw as you describe.
