Tthis Colt had been reblued at one time ..Just had it refinished no proof marks or any other redone. All the marks Colt horse and the c broad arrows still clear. He used proper park that was used WW2 by colt forget the name .If you send him a gun with clear marking they will come out ok ,but if your gun has been damaged by someone else polishing the gun before you can not get them back. He can laser in new marks but I would never do it . Very pleased with his professional restoration Most 1911A1 should be left alone, but as this gun is one of 1500 it was worth the money spent to bring it back as close as it was when new.

I have a type 2 Remington Rand and a US&S that are both in a similar state. I'm only interested in a simple blast and refinish as like you, I do not want the rollmarks touched.

Are you able to look up which finish he used as he offers two types of parkerizing? Manganese Phosphate (Parco-Lubrite) and Zinc Phosphate.

Thanks for sharing.

I had WW1 Commercial one that was a mess and had it redone as well, nice work, but not cheap
