Where would I find a site that shows how to take a 1911A1 apart?
I'm getting one in a couple of days and it will need to be cleaned and I will also want to trick it out. Any other info on where to buy parts in Canada would be appreciated.

try typing in m1911a1 in your search engine and see what happens- it's very well documented- also surplusrifles.com- as far as 'TRICKING" IT out goes, just how far do you want to go?- and what are you getting- some of the more expensive ones like the kimbers need no "tricking"

As far as tricking it out is concerned, I would like to upgrade the grips, trigger, etc. to make it more accurate. I understand they are pretty good out of the box but are rough. I will do the grips but I would like to know where to buy parts for it. I would like to buy Canadian as much as possible. This is a project gun that I have been waiting to buy for years and now have the time to play.
