Hi guys,
I have my ATT to go to the gunsmith next week with my Norc 1911. I am going to have it check out because I just have a hard time shooting it because of the trigger weight being WAY too much for me to shoot it comfortably.

What I would like to know is what was the standard trigger pull on the 1911A1 when they were still used in the US army.

I think that the MEU 1911 is around 4-41/2 pounds but I'm looking more for a Service Pistol(factory parts) trigger pull.

Thanks alot.

I have read that service 1911s triggers might be anywhere from 4 to 6 pounds to pull. I have not shot a GI gun though.

Another thought, Armco, one of the site sponsors has a good once over package for the Norincos... you might try them...

Like the last guy said Gunnar at ARMCO has a great tune up package for the Norinco. Sent my NP-29 to him and difference is like night and day. Trigger pull is great and I have put over 1000 rounds through without any problems. Highly recommend using them.

A guy in Edmonton is pretty good Norc I heard, Dean Fraser aka Pistolsmith.ca

I don't believe the Colt Commander model was ever issued to US troops. (Maybe SF, SEAL etc..?).
