Very nice job on this one, too...

Very nice Squitto :). I don't know about you, but i find it very satisfying after spending lots of time fitting upgrade parts and seeing your 1911 baby grow up into your own personal masterpeice! Ive put my Springfield on hold for a little bit ( the one in the pics above ) and am now customising a .22 Drulov!! lol. Going balls out on the thing from compensator to adding a shoulder stock to the hand grip, drill and tap to mount a nice set of optics and im even thinking of adding a wood foregrip to it which will hold either a vert grip or a harris bi-pod. heh. Not sure what got into me to do this with a Drulov but what the hell.

Again, very nice work. And Dixda, im impressed how you managed to restore yet keep the pistol looking authentic!!

Cheers

Wilson Combat Bullet Proof Firing Pin Stop
WC Firing Pin
Wolff Spring Kit
WILSON COMBAT Barrel and Bushing (DROP IN -- LOL)

I have two other triggers here.

BUT

The biggest issue I notice shooting in gloves all the time here is those triggers take up most of the area inside the trigger guard.
I fitted one then the other - and went back to the stock 1943 USGI.

It was an Armoury rebuild at some point after WWII - it had a Colt slide -but was a "duplicate" Ithaca (FJA stamp) frame - so a 1943 Ithaca war gun (I wish it could talk).

Looks like he used a different slide with untouched ejection port.

You're right! I was lucky enough to find a slide from the same era, the original had been buffed and butchered. It just about broke my heart to see it in that condition. I am now on the lookout for a lanyard mag.KD
P.S. Beauty work there Squitto and KB, they look awesome!
P.P.S. Anyone looking for a slightly used slide?;)

My newest acquisition, bought here on CGN, a little roughed up but I changed the thin grips , polished the feed ramp and cleaned her up a little.
