This is a one off made by the guy in the blue shirt in some of these pictures. Used a old WW2 era Browning Machine Gun barrel (or parts there of.) He re-uses the shells and the guys who work the range just hate it. Ha

Norinco with a few modifications. Soon to be also getting a magwell and different (read better) Smith & Alexander adjustable carry sights (think Novak clones)

Compact, low-profile rear sight resists snags and provides clarity for fast, front sight-recognition. Notch cuts on both sides of the rear sight give a unique look. Adjusts easily for windage with a 1/16" Allen wrench. Semi-ramped front sight is serrated to cut down on glare and fits nominal 60° x .330" dovetails. Both front and rear sights are CNC-machined from a billet of 4140 chrome moly steel and are protected by a durable, black, phosphate finish.

Mag well is Wilson, I'm installign the blued one to keep the gun "black".

I think it'll look great, especially once the slide is dovetail cut for the sights.

Is that bead blasted?

If you are referring to my Remington Rand, I have no idea what kinda finish it is. I've had a couple of opinions on it but nothing definitive. Any help would be appreciated, especially if you have seen something like this before.

I know that the US military often sandblasted thee before being refurbished post-war, but they usually got parked or dulited after that. That RR i nthe pic looks like either is was sandblasted and not refinished, or it was sandblasted and the subsequent finish is quite worn. No idea beyond speculation though...?

You can just make out the remains of the ordnance wheel above and behind the grip panel. When factory fresh, it would have been much clearer.

EXCELLENT... got the magwell on, though I had to grind out and re-contour, lap and reblue the well so that CMC power-10's would lock up properly. Now she's SWEET.... The sights are next, as above.
