Hey Graham, not sure if the ban (freeze) will be lifted in our lifetime, if it does there’s a couple of would have should have’s on my list too. Cheers

How much of the MIM have you replaced?

On my single stack I have replaced the barrel bushing, the slide stop, the mag catch and the plastic mainspring housing is now a Nighthawk Custom steel housing and magwell combo.

I need to replace my original trijicon tritium sights with new ones but I think I might do Ameriglo fibre with tritium rings.

Just a few things. Had the slide cut for the red dot, 22 lb recoil spring, trigger, hammer spring. It's set up to shoot .450 Super.

Ours is still factory. Thought to do a shoot out between Pops Para Ord TF108 ( year after my tour, 2 years before pops ) vs my Springfield MC Operator.

I was on 1-08. Started in C Coy ech and got sucked back to the Notional Support Element (No Support Ever?!!) because of techs going in HLTA and such.

Hi all; Are you fine Folks familiar with the Colt 1911 British Contract in cal.455?
Had a .455, should have kept it. Neat pistol, but it wasn't a great example. RAF markings were crudely "removed", grips were worn almost smooth, and the finish was basically flaking off it.

One of many pistols I never fired so sold it. Can't keep everything.

One trigger (find/replace and install), one set of sights (install), one mainspring housing pin (find some way to hold in and install), one right grip (install), one ejector pin (drill leg and install) and one pro safety inspection and she's ready to start low-pressure testing with .45CP.

One last shot for a while... broke my weak-side collarbone in a car accident so the Big B*tch has to go back into storage until I regain full use of my right arm - and with humid Northwest air, that means anticorrosion coating so I figured as long as I'm spraying Krylon why not "rough draft" the final intended finish. Masking tape is gonna stay covering the fiber-optic sights for a while.
