They all start with 1916 BSA's. It's the gateway SMLE. Before you know it you're addicted. I'm up to a 1908, 1916, 1918 and 1939 (in rehab I sold my 1917). I can't stop. Even my Long Lee is a BSA.

Just wait until next week when he makes you buy a front band with the narrow ears, or maybe a set of nice ivory buttons for the rear sight. There will be spinning spirals in your eyes.

It's not funny, Buffdog who is Smellie's wing man whispered "you will buy a swede Mauser" and next thing I know I came to at Ballsofice154's place and I have my new swede m96 in my hands!!

Good thing I love spaghetti!!

Just for the record, my first center fire rifle was a 1916 lithgow! 1916 smle's do seem to be the gateway enfield!!

(I have a 1915 Lithgow but that came well after the BSA's, much like meth comes after crack)

You're too right!!

The worst part is I'm interested in most if not all military rifles!! Makes it worst cause one day it's a 3 band snider and the next it could be a Ross, carcan, Mauser 98 or a swede!!

Maybe even another Lee enfield!!

My future is bleak!
 
We're all in the same boat, pal!

I just ordered another bag of Lebel brass because the Krops want to go to the range, too. And I need 7 more bullet-moulds, too.

Good thing that two local stores AND the Tiger all had sales on Pasta. I bought 150 pounds of the stuff, took 60 out to Jan's place for a reserve in case winter is too bad. Next is house taxes, then I can order the moulds! Next summer will be a lot of fun!

Between pasta, perogies and home-made holopchi, you can live cheap. Throw in bit of oatmeal and you are multicultural!

Leaves a lot of nickels for important things.........

..... Carcanos...... Mannlichers..... Lee-Enfields....... Rosses....... Mausers....... Rosses...... Lee-Enfields........ Rosses.......
 
Smellie, I know of a friend of yours who REALLY, REALLY wants to sample a fine rifle designed by alfred von kropatschek!!!

Ha my first swede was a Carl Gustaf 1916 M96 the second one was a Carl Gustaf 1907 M38! And you tinman got the extra Carl Gustaf 1907 I had

What is this word "extra" you speak of? I just looked in my rifle rack and I don't see any of these "extra" rifles anywhere!!

extra is a word that means well I have two and I required some more money for textbooks for school -deep sigh-
