I recently acquired a few Lee Enfields, one of which being this interesting 1917 Lee Enfield SHTLE MKIII* apparently manufactured by SSA. I'm interested in learning a little more about this rifle, as well as what the market value would be. It is very cool but just doesn't fit with what I like to collect. The bore looks good. Lots of deep rifling though it is kinda rough and the edges are slightly smoothed over.

I'll let the pictures tell the story, they do it far better than I can. I have more pictures as well.

Nice looking SSA - Peddled Scheme SMLE.

I'd consider hanging onto it, being that they're rarer than the average SMLE - but if you are going to sell her she could commend a higher than average price.

Hi Blasta. This Standard Small Arms SMLE has been re-stocked with Pattern 'B' woodwork post WW1. Rear hand guard is original manufacture. Pop the bucks for The Lee Enfield Story by Skennerton. All the info you will ever need and then some. A fascinating intense study. John
