Hi all,

Recently picked this sporter up on the EE - and I know nothing about Enfields. Anyone know what I have here, and approx. value? For all the wear on the name plate, the bore looks good. Thanks in advance!

it was originally a 1918 standard small arms no1mk111.it as been sportered to no return, rear site changed out for a sporter site, charger bridge cut off and it sits in a sporter stock.Nice hunting rifle.
In its original form it was a bit of a rare enfield as only 3 percent of all enfields were made by SSA.sould be a good hunting rifle if the barrel is deacent, looks like a nice sporter job though.

Butt socket is stamped ENFIELD. Is there a SSA on the receiver beside the cocking piece? Looks as if it has been assembled from parts.
You have a heavily sported SMLE. With a decent bore, and it shoots well, it will be a good hunting rifle.
$150 - $200?
