1919A4 M2 tripod

its gonna go for large$$ AND you cannot import it as its a itar item and "may" even need a canadian license to possess (the one you need for grenade launchers and CA/FA guns)

yes a license MAY be required

look through the colt m203 threads from a few months ago ANY military weapon and some MOUNTS need a permit its vary hard to sort out what needs a permit

here if you have years to read this go nuts

Ive spoken to the cssa and john at marstar and nobody really fullys understands the CGD and whats really on it/controlled by it if they wanted to be pricks basaically all firearms in canada are controled goods

also military equipment IE mounts, magazines ect are controlled goods

since you REQUIRE an import permit to legally bring the tripod into canada it would fall under the CGD I dont think they care right now but this may change in the future they did not care UNTIL the colt m203 40mm

My mistake I thought you meant you have to have a licence to possess a tripod in Canada . I know dealers in the US will not ship MG tripods or parts .I guess that's why anyone that has one up here for sale thinks they can charge what ever they want for one . Very easy to get around that problem , If you want a M2 tripod and don't want to pay through the nose for it . There is a company in the US that makes authentic reproductions and they sell them as a unfinished kit. As such they are selling a box of metal parts and no licence or permits req & they will send to Canada . Price is less than $200. that's how I got mine took 1/2 hr to Finnish the kit even with a reproduction data plate . So unless you are seeking a museum piece or must have a authentic original tripod & don't mined spending 600 to $1000 for one this is the way to go . & they are very hard to tell from the originals .
