Being a 418, is the barrel drilled and tapped for scope blocks? If so, an externally adjustable scope like a Fecker or Lyman would be appropriate. Those scopes have 3/4" tubes, so would not overwhelm the rifle.
Stevens and Winchester both made scopes that would look really good on a Favorite.
Most of the Unertl and similar would look a tad oversize for such a light rifle, I think.
The down side is the requirement to drill and tap for the scope mounts. As the saying goes "That sh!t is PERMANENT!".
Hilux has repros of a lot of old school scopes, and the stuff they repro, can give you some leads for names to look at.
