1932 Mosin

Well, I finally was able to take the gun out today! Boy am I glad that I got the pad!! It does kick like a mule even with the pad. But it was fun to shoot!!! Went thru about 80 rounds. I'm actually impressed with the accuracy of this gun. I'm not a good shooter, but I was able to put 5 bullets into Osama Bin Laden target and have a 3-4 inches groupings all the time!! Wow,! Even my friend's 14 years old son was able to nail Bi laden in a head. Oh, all this from about 100 meters.

Ive still to take mine out, tried out my M44 with Dad003 last weekend when we tested his SKS stock out,it was great fun,I took the recoil pad from my SVT and put it on the M44 right away lol.
Dad003 was impressed with it,and he's usually a semi guy.

I don't have a pad on my91/30 I do have one on the type 63 ( which was partially sporterized when i got it. ) so I finished the job . It has a 91/30 stock (modified) The bayonet lug removed and the front sight guard removed. Its a kick to shoot (literaly) even with the pad.It pushes back harder than the 91/30, Probably because its lighter . The 91/30 is stock and will stay that way . I bought
a bayonet for it and a front sight, as it was missing. It shoots straight as an arrow , really both do. I've fired some Tula ammo and some Russian surplus through both. Works ok, except for the horribly dirty bore. I'm using a bore snake , to clean up after shooting . I put some amonia through the bore before I go home , to nuteralize the corrosive residue.

Thanks pal, it's like I REALLY need two more forums in my life! My wife is already telling all our friends that I'm going coocoo with all my guns and spent too much time on my iPad...
