1935 Lithgow MkIII

Below is my latest Lithgow, had to have it to go with my Lithgow factory cut-away of a 1935 MkIII above.
These rifles are quite rare in having recoil rods fitted to the stockbolt keeper plate, instead of the brass blocks or walnut inserts fitted to the forend, plus not to many were made during the '30s.

I don't know about those recoil rods much., but that is one fine rifle. Was that built for range use? My 1934 B22271 Lithgow with 50% barrel still shoots fine. Makes me feel great every time I pull the trigger. Lithgow's are great rifles. Steve.

Those recoil rods use are for cleaning and lubricating the rifle...

Hi,

I have been to Lithgow a couple of times to do some research.
If you had a 1937 Lithgow rifle...... I think they would want to speak to you.

It is the only year they are missing a sample....

Interesting about the lack of the '37 at Lithgow too.

I just got my second Lithgow, a '43 in great shape and I can't wait to shoot it.

That cut-away was very helpful to me today. I just got a lithgow with a broken sear spring and thanks to smellie's insight I used your cutaway photos to figure out how to install my new one.
