Latest emails have indicated we are getting quite an out of town group from all over coming in to make scrambled eggs.
Joe K told me he's trying to find a farm that has camo eggs to make em harder to see.
I suggested he get eggs with the feet sticking out so they can jump around.PETA concerns put a end to that idea.
Was doing some testing with a straight 10 power scope on 300 yrd eggs. It's possible but mighty challenging.
Kris D I think is going to try it with 22rf just to get in some practice for the Sunday RF Match at TCRC.
Haven't heard from last years winners yet to see if they are coming to defend their Grand Egg .
Hope the weather will be as nice as todays.

No but his wife told me he asked her to hard boil a few dozen .I told him I could blow some empty and fill them up with some Tenerex.
Bit of a bang rather than the traditional splat.
(too hard on the stakes I think)

Would suggest to get there around 830 am.Sight in before match commences is a good idea. First relay should commence sometime between 9 to 930 .
But relays will continue till we run outa shooters......or eggs.

I was actually thinking of trying the eggs with the .22RF during a re-shoot, just to see how far I can get out...

Sausages for lunch? Wouldn't eggs be more appropriate? I mean, if you do the setup right, all we need to do is walk down range and fight off the skunks.

I'm a member at TCRC but sadly don't get out as much as I would like to, haven't met a whole lot of the other members. I was going to bring my Dad out as a guest on this day but didn't realize the match was running...I'm assuming from my understanding of the club rules that any sort of clay shooting will be a no go given that the competition will be using the 200yd and 300yd ranges.

He also wanted to try out my rifle while we were out there but I don't want to interrupt the competition, does it typically run all day?

I'm just shooting a Browning x-bolt in .30-06 with a 2.5 - 8x Leupold VX-3, not sure if I would be able to run in a match like this with a hunting rifle?

Gord, I will be there, will be bringing the 6.5-284 again. Talked to Terry and he cannot make it so there is one championship up for the taking. Maybe I should bring the Savage and try for both?

Devlin it usually doesn`t run all day but Kris may have to do some work for the 22rf shoot. So you may have some small interuptions .
Come on out and watch some eggs EXPLODE !!!

Weather forcast is calling for cooling temps and very high humidity.
As firepoint os covered this is not going to be an issue, but movement outside the firepoint may require protective clothing.(official 62% error factor)
Glad to hear the Kincardine Kooks ? (KK) are going to be able to make it.
I'll be acting as your RO again this year and based on an incident am thinking about adding a bonus score. If you can shoot your egg and remove the shell WITHOUT breaking the interior membrane,I tink it should be worth a bonus point. Will confirm this with match committee.

Devlin I can't say when we'll be finished .We continue to shoot until all competitors are done ,or we've run outa eggs or light. At the end of official match there will be free shoot to remove any leftover staked eggs, then we clean up .
We are usually done well before suppertime.
See ya there.

Hello Gord,

I have questions about the "Custom" and "Factory" Class divisions this year. Would a Savage FT/R be considered factory or custom? I remember that a factory bolt rifle without a magazine (single shot) is not considered "Factory" in BR shooting matches. What are the distinctions between the two classes?

Cheers,
