Hello,
I am fortunate enough to have found a Johnson rifle and have put some rounds through it. However, I’ve heard that the firing pin collar and spring are meant to prevent the pin from denting primers. Mine dents primers when I put it into battery. The collar on the firing pin is not fixed in place, and has some play to it. It hasn’t been a problem but I feel it would be foolish not to fix it before anything unfortunate occurs.
Does anyone know how to properly crimp it back into place, or have one that’s correctly placed so that I can make sure I do so in the right spot?
I know it’s a bit of a long shot but if anyone has a spare firing pin I would be happy to buy it off you as well.
Thanks
