This is my baby. Has been in the family since big brother brought her home from a gun show way back in the 1970s. Was FTR in ~1956 so I figured someone thought she was worth saving way back at Lithgow. Aside from the buttplate & screws and the barreled action, everything else was scrounged up including the woodset. The Coachwood pieces are long gone. I will be keeping this one. Nice gentle shooting characteristic 'poom' :)

Ps: also has a windage adjustable rear sight - came in really handy today! :)

I'm assuming the bore isn't ideal. When these were brought in (more like the early 80's), the yellow paint at the nose indicated a rough bore (for ball ammo occasionally). Those with green paint (for ball ammo unrestricted) were much fewer in number and priced higher.

The bore is excellent. ;)

If you look closely, the unit disc has what appears to be Arabic script on it. :p

This is the United Nations of SMLE's :p
